The Power of Perspective

Much of what we feel challenged by can be transformed by a shift in perspective. There’s a tendency of being locked in our own personal point of view so strongly that we forget that there are many ways to view, or think about situations in our path. The mind is a very powerful tool for personal growth and cultivating inner peace for ourselves, and without conscious direction, the mind can lock us into a standstill.

When we offer ourselves the options of viewing and thinking of things from different, sometimes wildly unfamiliar angles, we open up to infinite possibilities and widen our path to make space for more aligned thoughts and feelings. Thinking in a way you haven’t before feels different. In all things that we do, we are seeking a certain feeling for ourselves. Every action we take, we have a subconscious link to a desired feeling. Our personal perspective shapes every experience we have  and the feelings that arise within us. Our perspective has the power to lock us into rigid pain, or open up free flow of possibility.

Stepping back and looking at something with more distance allows more information to come in. Most often, we are looking/thinking of things from too close. When we shift our perspective, the picture becomes more complete and we can move forward with more openness and possibility.
